All is Set for Saba Saba Rally; Leaders Call for Police Protection. The leaders of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya alliance have said that all preparations are complete for the nationwide Saba Saba demonstrations that will take place on Friday.
At a press conference, the leaders of the Azimio party asked their followers to arrive in huge numbers as early as 4.30 in the morning at the major event, which will be led by Raila Odinga, the head of the opposition, at Nairobi’s Kamukunji Grounds.

George Aladwa, the leader of the ODM Party in Nairobi, announced, “We are going to be very peaceful, and we are going to hold a very peaceful meeting.”

In his subsequent statement, Aladwa said, “We want to tell the government,. and especially the police, to give us peace, and in return, we will give you peace.”
“We cordially invite Nairobi locals to visit these revered Kamukunji grounds, the scene of Saba Saba’s second freedom. The 2023 Saba Saba’s official opening ceremony will take place here tomorrow. We want Kenya to change. The Mathare Legislative Assembly member Antony Oluoch said, “Tomorrow we are here to start the fourth liberation.”
The opposition’s leaders and allies have declared that after converging at Kamukunji grounds,.they will march peacefully to Nairobi’s financial sector. They have begged the security system to keep them safe rather than to interfere with them.
The protests are currently dispersed among a number of Nairobi neighborhoods. and it is anticipated that a similar pattern will develop in other parts of the nation.
