Job Summary
Excel Academy is recruiting dynamic, self-motivated and experienced teachers. MUST HAVE two years of teaching experience. Vacancies will be for a combination of teaching experience of at least 3 subject minimum. Music, Arts & Craft, Agriculture, French, Pre-technical, Pre-Career are an advantage for consideration.

- Lower Primary Job Requirements – Required Education Qualification
- · Must have a Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Education
- · Must have scored a mean grade of C and above at K.C.S.E
- · At least a Primary Teacher One (P1) graduate from a recognized institution.
- · Must have some Competency Based Curriculum Certificate or Training
- Upper Primary Job Requirements – Required Education Qualification
- · Must have bachelor’s degree of Education in Science or Arts (BEd. Science or BEd. Arts) with bias in the specialized subject(s) from a recognized University.
- · OR must have a Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Education
- · Must have scored C+ in KSCE
- · Must have scored a mean grade of C+ and above at K.C.S.E in their desired subjects of specialization
- · Must have some Competency Based Curriculum Certificate or Training
- Upper / Lower Primary Job Qualification and Experience Required
- Teachers with experience in teaching the following subjects
- o Integrated Science Experience
- o Science and Technology
- o Pre-technical and Pre-career Education
- o French language
- o Life skills
- o Agriculture
- o Business Studies
- o Computer Science with coding experience in Visual Basic for lower secondary
- o Computer Science with coding experience for upper primary
- o And a combination of teaching at least 3 subjects in lower primary school.
- · Minimum 3 years teaching experience for lower primary, with TSC and CID Certificate of good conduct
- · Must be trained in CBC
- TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervisory Roles include
- · Supervising adherence by learners to school rules regulations and routine
- · Coordination learning and teaching activities for effective learning
- · Supervising learners’ safety and health during practical learning sessions
- · Supervising school programs and activities while on duty and
- · Coordinating subjects in their areas of specialization
- Operational responsibilities include among other things
- · Undertaking duties as per the approved curriculum
- · Assess learners’ abilities, skills and learning needs
- · Developing and maintaining professional documents
- · Prepare assessments rubrics and guide learners in the development to portfolios
- · Mentoring and coaching newly recruited teachers
- · Monitoring learners’ achievements through continuous assessment.
