What is a TSC Number?
A TSC number is a unique identification code issued by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to registered teachers in Kenya. It is mandatory for all teachers employed in public schools and those seeking employment under TSC.
Requirements for TSC Registration
Before applying, ensure you have the following:
A copy of your National ID or Passport (for non-Kenyans).
Academic and professional certificates (certified copies).
KRA PIN certificate.
Passport-size photo (white background).
Duly filled TSC registration form.
How to Apply for a TSC Number Online
Step 1: Visit the TSC Online Portal
Go to the TSC website: https://teachersonline.tsc.go.ke.
Step 2: Create an Account
Click on "Register" if you are a new user.
Fill in your details (ID number, email, and phone number).
Set a password and verify your account via email/SMS.
Step 3: Log In and Complete the Application
Log in to your account.
Navigate to "Teacher Registration" and fill in all required details.
Upload scanned copies of your documents (ID, certificates, KRA PIN, and photo).
Step 4: Submit and Pay the Registration Fee
Review your details and submit the application.
Pay the registration fee (Ksh. 1,055) via M-Pesa or bank deposit.
Step 5: Receive Your TSC Number
Once verified, TSC will process your application.
You will receive an SMS/email with your TSC number.
