In July 2023, the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) will pay different rates to teachers and non-teachers who contributed to the exams and evaluations from the previous year.

Teaching staff, drivers, and security employees are some of the professionals that Knec hired and will be paid for. As center managers, supervisors, and invigilators, teachers were hired.

The top candidate in the KCPE results, which the CS education made public, was declared by Ezekiel Machogu. The candidate graduated from a Western Kenyan institution with 431 points.

PS Education Belio Kipsang reports that the results for Grade 6 KPSEA applicants were made public on January 16, 2023.

KNEC CEO David Njeng’ere stated in a speech at Mtihani House on Wednesday, December 21, during the publication of the KCPE results that students could watch the results through their school website.

“The learners will acquire individual reports, and all of these will be posted on the school website,” claims Njeng’ere. The event took place on January 16, 2023.

He made it plain that rather than placing candidates in junior secondary schools, the results would be used to monitor student progress.

The KNEC Chief continued, “The KPSEA Examination Committee also gave three reports: a national, school-specific, and individual student report.”

The nationwide report will inform stakeholders in education about issues that require attention. It will display the proportion of students who require interventions, broken down by topic and proficiency level.

In order to help students continue on the road to improvement, each school will receive thorough reports outlining the areas in which students had difficulties.

The KCPE and KPSEA supervisors and invigilators will receive the same compensation, despite the fact that the KPSEA exams do not include essay writing (insha’a and composition).

The public has already seen the exam scores and the KCSE teachers have already received their salaries.

A sizable portion of the hired experts have not yet received payment from KNEC. Many people’s mpesa accounts have not yet been credited with the money.
