April 4, 2019, (KUCCPS) released an update on the application of courses for applicants for the KCSE

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KUCCPS, stated that applicants with grades of A and A- (minus) received top consideration.

Students who got A and A minus marks would be entitled to sit for any program and choose any course within the sciences and arts category, allowing them to pursue a wide range of prospects.

These students, in Wahome’s opinion, would have the freedom to follow different trajectories in their academic and professional careers.

Students with grades of A and A- will be admitted to all courses, while students with lower grades will be excluded from in-demand courses.

She explained, however, that plans were in place to open the portal, which has been long overdue.

Wahome stated that all stakeholders would be notified when everything was ready.

She added that notifications would be distributed via the KUCCP’s official web site and social media channels.

The CEO of KUCCPS further urged students to collaborate closely with teachers when selecting courses they were passionate about.

Her statement came days after the organization announced that only KCSE 2022 students would be eligible to apply for undergraduate courses.

KUCCPS clarifies applicants who took KCSE the year before the selection were qualified to submit an online degree application.

It was also indicated that the applicant was expected to have submitted an application for a degree program the year before when the application portal was created.

“Only candidates who took their KCSE in the year before the selection are qualified to apply for an online degree.

When we established the application portal last year, you were intended to apply for a degree program, according to KUCCPS.
