Delay in JSS Instructors’ Salary

It is disappointing that despite TSC’s promises that everything was being done to ensure payment would be made in March, our JSS coworkers have once again failed to receive their salaries.

It is disappointing that despite TSC’s promises that everything was being done to ensure payment would be made in March, our JSS coworkers have once again failed to receive their salaries.

This communication is intended to let JSS members know that the Kuppet Migori branch, in collaboration with the National Executive Board and its Secretary General, has spoken with TSC

However, the bulk of educators have once again been overlooked.

In order to give teachers more time to settle in at their place of work, the union now vehemently demands that the commission expedite salary payments.

A limited number of tutors this month have already received payment confirmation from Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

It must be emphasized that the aforementioned group of tutors have experienced unspeakable suffering since their deployment to different stations in January 2023.

The majority of primary schools, where JSSs are located, are unable to provide our members with soft loans or vouchers to help them with even the most basic requirements.

By April 2023, if TSC still refuses to pay the surviving group, the union will be compelled to issue general directives.
