Malala is chastised by ODM officials for calling for Raila’s detention. ODM party leaders in Kilifi have criticized Cleophas Malala, secretary general of the UDA, for calling for Raila Odinga to be detained.

The leaders cautioned that Malala’s comments are “inflammatory and can burn the country” when speaking in a Kilifi hotel on Monday.

Malala had already stated that it was time for Raila to be held responsible for the damage he caused to property and the scare away of investors whenever he called for rallies. He urged that the party’s leader be detained for the damage.

Teddy Mwambire, the speaker of the Assembly and chairman of the ODM in Kilifi county, responded by stating that any attempt to detain Odinga will lead to additional unrest.

“Raila cannot be harmed because he is the fourth arm of the government. Malala’s statements are inappropriate and will result in chaos. This country will pay a heavy price, he said.

Ibrahim Matumbo, the majority leader of the Kilifi County Assembly, announced that on Wednesday, there will be a peaceful demonstration to urge the government to reduce the cost of emigrating.

He issued a warning that any attempt to detain Raila would be greeted with opposition from his supporters, endangering Kenyans’ ability to live in peace.

“No property will be destroyed. We’ll get together to discuss these issues. We will be peaceful during this protest, so the police must never get involved,” declared Matumbo.

Malindi Amina Munyazi, a lawmaker, threatened Malala with repercussions if he disobeyed Raila.

Raila is not a match for him. Let him talk to Stewart Madzayo or me if he wants to participate. He is far behind Raila. He would have been elected if he were as influential as he believes, she said.

The MP threatened to unleash Shakahola woodland monsters to deal with Malala if she did not calm down.

She continued, “We are from Shaka Hola, and we will send all of the demons from Shakahola everywhere.”

Senator Stewart Madzayo of Kilifi remarked that if anything were to happen to Raila, the government would be held accountable.

“Raila is a mystery in our nation. He serves as Kenya’s political foundation. We will hold this administration accountable if anything happens to him, let alone if they threaten to arrest him. Respect for Raila is necessary, he remarked.

The planned protest, according to Madzayo, will take place in Kilifi town.

Malala claimed that the leader of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance party had incited Kenyans against the Kenya Kwanza government of President William Ruto.

Speaking at a UDA party mass registration drive in the Garsen constituency’s Minjila neighborhood, Malala stated that by encouraging civil disobedience, Raila was casting a negative image on the Ruto administration.

The Ruto administration has been challenged by Raila, who recently rallied his followers to begin gathering 10 million signatures to impeach the President during the Saba Saba protest.

“We have tolerated you for far too long, and we are almost tired of it. We will arrest you if you carry on destroying people’s property, driving away investors, and abusing young people, Malala said.
