NEW SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR TERM 2 AND 3
The updated academic calendar for 2023 has been released by the Kenyan Ministry of Education for use by all primary and secondary school students.
The revised term dates, according to the Ministry, are an effort to restore order to the school calendar after the covid 19 pandemic disturbed it.

The amended term dates were decided upon after collaboration with the stakeholders in order to cover the final two terms of the 2020 academic year and stabilize the academic calendar by December 2020. According to a NewsHub quote from the ministry.
The second term of 2023 will start on May 8 and end on August 11 in accordance with the new timetable, which left the opening dates unaltered.
The Education Ministry also upheld the June 29–July 2 midterm break dates that had been previously established. The break will last three days, so classes will resume on Wednesday, July 3.
For the purpose of preparing for the national exams, the third term will last nine weeks, from 28 August to 27 October.
