TSC Updated Allowances Per Job Group 2023. Through a tsc online services portal, the Teacher Service Commission (TSC) is in charge of hiring teachers in schools and colleges.

Both ensuring the welfare of teachers and facilitating their salaries and benefits fall under the purview of the committee.

Different kinds of allowances are given to every teacher employed by the Teachers Service Commission.

Teachers receive these stipends in addition to their monthly wages.

Factors Determining Teachers Allowances Per Job Group

2023 Revision of Teachers’ Allowances.

The agreement to sign a CBA by the teacher unions in 2016 slightly raised the base pay and allowances for teachers.

Unlike in the past when (SRC) significantly increased House Allowance for teachers, TSC administrators only saw a small rise margin.

Teachers are entitled to Four main allowances.

TSC employs the following factors to determine Hardship zones in Kenya.

1. Food is either absent, unavailable, or inaccessible.
2. Water, transportation, and communication networks are insufficient.
3. Fundamental social services and amenities are insufficient
4. Persistently severe climate events including drought, landslides, and flooding
5. Unrest and a high likelihood of security threats.

3. Kwale County
4. Garissa County
5. Wajir County
6. West Pokot County
7. Narok County
8. Turkana County
9. Kilifi County
10. Isiolo County
11. Lamu County
12. Taita Taveta County

14. Tana River County

Revised Leave Allowances For Teachers per Job group.

Tsc leave allowance of Ksh 4,000 is paid to teachers in employment categories B5 and C1.

Tsc pays  Ksh 6,000 to those in C2 through C5.

On the other hand, teachers in grades D1 through D5, who are primarily administrators, are paid Ksh.
