US Government Announces Successful Green Card Applicants’ Names; How to Verify,
DV -2024, also known as the “green card lottery,” applicants can now monitor their status on the United States Department’s portal thanks to its recent opening.
The US informed the selected candidates of the dates when the visa interviews will begin in US embassies throughout the world in a statement.
The Visa program’s registration period ran from October 5, 2022, until November 8, 2022.
According to the Department of State, “The Entrant Status Check for DV-2023 applicants will remain open until September 30, 2023.”

The data consists of the verification number, last name or family name, birthdate, and the authentication code visible on the image.
To check an applicant’s status online, the agency advised: “Please be sure to have the applicant’s Confirmation Number, last/family name, and year of birth.”
If an applicant forgets their confirmation number, they can select the program year by clicking “Forgot confirmation number.”

Green card lottery registration normally takes place between the months of October and November two years in advance.
For instance, applications for the DV-2025 program will be accepted between October and November 2023, and candidates will be notified of the outcome in May 2024.
